We’re here in San Diego on Day One of the convention. When the Exhibit Hall opened at 9 a.m. today, it was like a dam broke as conventioneers poured in. Registration has also been wildly busy, but lots of convention-goers have been stopped in their tracks by a display right in front of the main registration desk. It’s a holographic projection of APA CEO Norman B. Anderson, PhD – or 3-D Norman, as some folks are calling him. Dr. Anderson appears to be standing in an archway, talking about what’s upcoming at the convention. Because it’s a hologram, his eyes seem to follow you as you walk by. Many convention-goers have snapped photos and videos of 3-D Norman; some are even stopping to take pictures of their friends standing next to the projection. All in all, it’s quite an attention-getter.
